Miguel Ángel Ríos Hernández serves as the Coordinator of Humanitarian Support Services and Hospital Visits at AVE. Originally from San Luis Potosí, Mexico, Miguel Ángel transformed profound personal and health trials—including the loss of both lower limbs—into a driving force of resilience and empathy for others. After joining AVE’s board of directors, he dedicates his work to accompanying the sick, providing humanitarian support, and demonstrating to the community that through faith and solidarity, it is always possible to rebuild oneself and serve from the heart.
Miguel Ángel Ríos Hernández serves as the Coordinator of Humanitarian Support Services at AVE (Acompañamiento y Visitas a Enfermos), bringing to the board of directors profound human sensitivity, extraordinary resilience, and a tireless calling to serve. Originally from Ciudad Valles, in the Huasteca region of San Luis Potosí, Mexico, he is the fourth of nine siblings and a core pillar of his family.
In 1993, at the age of 15, Miguel Ángel immigrated to the United States with the firm goal of working hard to provide a better future and educational opportunities for his younger siblings. Years later, in 1996, life confronted him with a tragic loss following the passing of his brother in Galveston, Texas—a painful event that permanently shaped his understanding of family values, empathy, and accompaniment during times of grief.
Over the years, devoted to raising his four children, Miguel Ángel faced severe health trials and personal impacts between 2023 and 2025 that led to the amputation of both lower limbs. Following a complex process of physical recovery, therapeutic support, and spiritual strengthening, he transformed the pain of loss and adversity into a renewed life purpose.
In May 2025, after a providential meeting with journalist Antonio Hernández (Telemundo Houston), Miguel Ángel was connected with Noé Ramírez, President and Founder of AVE. Joining the organization marked a turning point in his life, allowing him to discover within the AVE community a space of renewal, brotherhood, and purpose.
Currently, as a member of the Board of Directors and Coordinator of Humanitarian Support Services and Hospital Visits, Miguel Ángel channels his life experiences to provide direct support to individuals going through amputations, disabilities, or emotional crises. His work stands as a living testament that faith, family love, and the will to serve can overcome any physical or emotional barrier, bringing hope and companionship to those who need it most.

Originario de San Luis Potosí, México, Miguel Ángel transformó profundas pruebas de vida y de salud —incluyendo la pérdida de sus extremidades inferiores— en un motor de resiliencia y empatía hacia los demás. Tras integrarse a la mesa directiva de AVE, dedica su labor a acompañar a enfermos, brindar apoyo humanitario y demostrar a la comunidad que con fe y solidaridad siempre es posible reconstruirse y servir de corazón.
Miguel Ángel Ríos Hernández se desempeña como Coordinador de Servicios de Apoyo Humanitario en AVE (Acompañamiento y Visitas a Enfermos), aportando a la mesa directiva una profunda sensibilidad humana, una resiliencia extraordinaria y una vocación incansable de servicio. Originario de Ciudad Valles, en la región Huasteca de San Luis Potosí, México, es el cuarto de nueve hermanos y un pilar fundamental dentro de su núcleo familiar.
En 1993, a la edad de 15 años, Miguel Ángel emigró a los Estados Unidos con la firme meta de trabajar duro para brindar un mejor futuro y oportunidades educativas a sus hermanos menores. Años más tarde, en 1996, la vida lo confrontó con una trágica pérdida tras el fallecimiento de su hermano en Galveston, Texas; un doloroso evento que marcó de manera permanente su sentido del valor de la familia, la empatía y el acompañamiento en momentos de duelo.
Con el paso de los años, formado en la devoción a sus cuatro hijos, Miguel Ángel atravesó severas pruebas de salud e impactos personales entre 2023 y 2025 que resultaron en la amputación de ambas extremidades inferiores. Tras un complejo proceso de recuperación física, apoyo terapéutico y fortalecimiento espiritual, transformó el dolor de la pérdida y la adversidad en un renovado propósito de vida.
En mayo de 2025, tras un encuentro providencial con el periodista Antonio Hernández (Telemundo Houston), Miguel Ángel fue puesto en contacto con Noé Ramírez, Presidente y Fundador de AVE. Su integración a la organización marcó un punto de inflexión en su vida, permitiéndole descubrir en la comunidad de AVE un espacio de renovación, fraternidad y utilidad.
Actualmente, como integrante de la Mesa Directiva y Coordinador de Servicios de Apoyo Humanitario y Visitas a Enfermos, Miguel Ángel canaliza sus vivencias para brindar apoyo directo a personas que atraviesan amputaciones, discapacidades o crisis emocionales. Su labor es un testimonio vivo de que la fe, el amor familiar y la voluntad de servir pueden superar cualquier barrera física o emocional, llevando luz y acompañamiento a quienes más lo necesitan.
